Articulation, posture, voice projection and eye contact are some of the skills required for successful public speaking, right?…Well, yes, some MILE School Middle students demonstrated to have all of these during our school Assembly. On Friday, January 29, eight non-profit organizations were promoted very effectively by various speakers. This event was followed by a voting session in which the fifth through eighth grade classes decided on an organization they wished to support and donate the money they had raised during their Christmas fundraising. After all votes were counted, the following organizations were chosen: War Child and TOADD. War Child helps children around the world who are being affected by armed conflicts like in Syria and TOADD is a local organization which supports a school in Ethiopia.
Congratulations to all the students who participated and many thanks to the parents who supported the fundraising and attended our assembly.
