Students of Grade 7 have successfully completed the creative writing lab that led them to publish a mini collection of sentimental stories entitled “The Kiss”.
Creative writing requires technique, precision, concentration and dominance of emotions. Language control in its syntactic-lexical complexity thus leads to rich, original and exciting narrative text.
After having taken part in a first creative writing project with Il Circo delle Storie that last year led us to revise myths and legends today, we grew up becoming grade 6 students, mature and more knowledgeable in using various writing techniques, the backbone of important literary genres such as adventure, comic texts, playthings and sentimental text.
The study path of intense and non-barrier writing techniques has made us discover the importance of punctuation, salt and structure of all narrative texts, the awesome role of words, their etymology, and the emotional strength that they can and must arise in the reader.
All in the light of the inexhaustible and fundamental value of writing: scripta manent. Writing stays and our young writers-students are comprehending all the honor and burden of transmitting values and emotions when writing.
Emotions, feelings, joys and sorrows of the most true and intense act for every human being. We have created short narrative microcosms by editing three stories that reflect the experiences and dreams of young writers-students about kisses real or imaginary.
This year, even in view of the Esame d’Idoneità, we had to learn how to structure our ideas and give us as a fundamental goal the ability to draw a theme, a narrative text that is articulated, fluent, lexically rich and “engaging”. In fact, we have analyzed in the various literal genres the techniques of captatio benevolentiae as the effective and fundamental tool of good writing.
The sentimental text was the most complex challenge to face because it is easy to fall into the banal, soap opera. But the freshness of our Grade 7 grass writers was certainly the special humus from which to blossom unique tales.
Students tried to describe the feelings, joys and sorrows of the most true and intense act for every human being: the kiss. They created short narrative microcosms by editing three stories that reflect the experiences and dreams of young writers about kisses or imaginations.
And then dear reader read our stories and … listen to our voices in the tales that have inspired us great emotions!
