Thanksgiving celebration at MILE School

MILE School Primary First Graders special involvement

Thanksgiving is a holiday celebrated in America as a reminder of how the Native Americans helped the Pilgrims make homes and collect food for a better way of life. Each November, we think of things that we are thankful for such as our family, friends, school, and home.

Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States, and around the same part of the year in other places.

This year at MILE School, we celebrated Thanksgiving by having our First Graders present the history of Thanksgiving, and every elementary class contributed a turkey feather to our school display listing what their class was thankful for.
