At our British Kindergarten, children follow the Cambridge Early Years programme, fostering physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth. Nature and its cycles are central, with creative activities using natural and recycled materials to spark curiosity and invention.
Growing with confidence and empathy
Children develop a positive sense of self and confidence in their abilities, strengthening social learning, the building of friendships, the regulation of their emotions and consideration for the needs of others.
Developing confident communication
Children learn to express themselves with confidence through enjoyable activities designed to improve their ability to speak, listen and relate to others.
A love for reading and writing
Children are encouraged to take their first independent steps towards learning the basic phonemes and graphemes of Italian and English.
Discovering communities and cultures
Children begin to understand the physical world around them and their community through opportunities to explore and observe via activities designed to develop geographical and historical skills, discovering cultural practices from countries and traditions different from their own.
Expressing the self in freedom
The Munari Art programme promotes creativity as a conscious process, grounded in exploration, experimentation and interaction with a wide range of materials.
Children are guided in the use of techniques and tools typical of design and visual art, developing sensory, compositional and narrative skills. Each activity is conceived as an open workshop where form, function and intuition are in constant dialogue.
The programme fosters critical thinking, powers of observation and expressive independence, encouraging every child to build a personal visual language and to engage with diverse artistic and design traditions on a global level.
Developing reasoning skills
Children discover the role of mathematics in everyday life and develop their ability to count, understand and use numbers.
Through games and activities they are introduced to the language, thinking and mathematics they will need when they begin Primary School.
Promoting physical wellbeing
Children develop a positive attitude towards exercise through play, with plenty of opportunities to have fun, be active and build coordination and movement.
Children spend their day following familiar routines, with play, songs, nursery rhymes, shared meals and both physical and structured activities. The youngest ones (up to the age of 3) have an afternoon rest before being reunited with their parents.

In the Early Years programme, each child is carefully supported by our educational team, who observe and celebrate their progress.
At the end of the programme, achievements are marked with a joyful Learning Celebration involving both children and parents, culminating in the award of a diploma recognising the progress made throughout the Kindergarten year.
Children take part in the Lab Talento programme, run in collaboration with the University of Pavia, to strengthen independence, self-esteem and social skills.
Through hands-on activities led by a team of psychologists, children develop emotional awareness, problem-solving abilities and confidence in their own skills.
At the end of the programme, each child receives an individual profile highlighting strengths and areas for improvement, which helps guide their learning in the following school years.
Building on a journey that begins at the Nursery, children at MILE School grow up immersed in a bilingual environment where English and Italian coexist harmoniously. Through a spontaneous and engaging approach, including dialogue, storytelling, play and music, they gradually develop comprehension and, over time, spoken skills in both languages.
The team of English and Italian teachers work together to support each child on their language journey, encouraging authentic everyday communication.
Thanks to the Continuity Project, children experience a gradual introduction to Primary School from the age of four.
Through regular visits to the classrooms, shared activities and meetings with Primary teachers, children become familiar with the new environment and enjoy a smooth and positive transition to the next stage of their education.
Children explore melodies that tell stories, depict animals and evoke objects, sparking creativity and imagination.
They learn to use their own bodies as instruments, from their voice to percussion, before moving on to real musical instruments, developing a sense of rhythm and musical ear through methods like Kodály.
Encounters with musicians and orchestras make the experience even more vivid, bringing the magic of live music to life.
The bilingual approach is seamlessly integrated into daily life, allowing children to develop strong and spontaneous language skills.
